This is tutorial for vertex welding with edit mesh. Its an oldie but a goodie. Edit poly is the way to go these days, but the principle discussed here, does apply to Edit Poly as well. The operation is similar, but you are using "Target Weld" instead.

Here is a second video of the Rotary Table Weld Cell we installed last February in Kansas. We were at their facility to install their second robot (Stay tuned for a video of that one soon), and I noticed how much faster and cleaner their programming was now that they have had some more time and experience with the robot.
