How we train the classical first Pak drill.
This is a beginner drill that teaches new students where the line is and how to control the line through position with pak sao.
The student then advances on to the second step with pak da--pak with hit.. There is no contact used at this early stage. Later on the student will learn to apply it with contact, with resistance and with movement.
